Belmont Village Quarterly Newsletter on Senior Living

Happy Birthday, Ms Nightingale!

Nurses WeekNational Nurses Week begins each year on May 6, and ends on May 12, which is Florence Nightingale's birthday. National Nurses Week provides recognition to these care givers for their contributions and commitment to quality health care. Please join us in recognizing our nursing staff at Belmont Village communities across the country for their dedication to their profession and to our residents.

Often described as an art and a science, nursing is a profession filled with dedicated people of varied interests, strengths and passions for patient care and safety. The nurses who work at Belmont Village manage a wide range of personal care, health and wellness needs for residents in both our Assisted Living areas and Alzheimer’s neighborhoods. Belmont Village nurses are onsite to assess residents’ health, develop individual wellness plans, manage medications, take doctor’s orders, and act as liaisons between residents, families and care providers.

This year, nurses across the country will be saluted during National Nurses Week with the theme "Nurses: Caring today for a Healthy Tomorrow." This theme reflects the commitment they make every day to their patients, communities and country.
