Community Spotlight - 10 Years of Service
Belmont Village Senior Living is proudly celebrating two special birthdays this year – in the fall of 1999 we opened the doors to Belmont Village of Green Hills in Nashville, TN and Belmont Village of St. Matthews in Louisville, KY. They were, respectively, the company’s second and third senior living communities. Now there are 20 Belmont Villages across the country, offering a wide array of programs and services for hundreds of residents, many of which were first pioneered in these two buildings.
Belmont Village prides itself on being a “community within a community,” and an innovative leader in the eldercare field. These communities reflect that spirit and have been the proving ground for many of the innovations that are now standard at all of our communities - from our signature chef-prepared dining, to licensed nurses on-site 24/7, to in-house technology and fitness centers, to a wealth of research-based enrichment programs.
“We’re proud of what Belmont Village has to offer seniors and their families – it’s very gratifying to see the difference our unique programs and care have made in the lives of so many,” said Sheila Carter, Belmont Village of St. Matthews executive director. “We have a great team of seasoned professionals who have been together for years, and we all truly love what we do. Our residents come first for us, and we stay very active with our colleagues and care partners as well, to ensure a continuity of care and support for seniors throughout the community. We’re really a family here - we look out for one another.”
“Over the years Belmont Village has enjoyed such great relationships with the Nashville community – we’re always looking for ways to give back, and to help our residents stay connected,” said Tara Arancibia, executive director at Belmont Village of Green Hills. “For example, we’re celebrating our 10th anniversary in October with our annual handbag auction benefiting the Alzheimer’s Association. We’ve done this for the past three years, and so far, we’ve raised over $12,000 – our residents love it, and it’s just a great way to give back to our community.”
Belmont Village was founded in 1997. The company’s first community, Belmont Village at West University, opened in Houston, TX in the fall of 1998. Belmont’s fourth community, located in Memphis, TN, will celebrate its tenth anniversary in January 2010.
