Belmont Village a designated provider of the NFL Player Care Plan.
In February 2008, the NFL Alliance, comprised of the NFL, NFL Players Association, Pro Football Hall of Fame and NFL Alumni Association, announced a series of enhancements to the NFL disability benefits program to further address the medical and disability needs of retired NFL players. Assisted Living and Alzheimer's care were among those enhancements.
After a comprehensive review of leaders in the Assisted Living industry, Belmont Village was selected to be a designated provider of the NFL Player Care Plan. We are proud to have been chosen and are committed to providing quality care, along with specific benefits to make that care more accessible. And because we recognize that many former players are also adult children who may be caring for elderly family members themselves, we have extended the benefits that we provide to include their immediate family.
Former players and family members will be reassured to know that all of Belmont Village’s programs — from our on-site fitness/therapy centers, to our chef-prepared meals, to our innovative memory programs — are founded on research and are regularly reviewed and updated to consider new findings and standards. We continue to develop programs with the guidance of experts and, most importantly, the input of our residents and families.
