Buffalo Grove, IL 60089
SPEAKER: Lauren Weldon, Partner, Margolis Weldon, LLC
Lauren graduated with honors from the University of South Carolina before attending UIC John Marshall Law School in Chicago. There, she found John Marshall’s Elder Law Certificate program and began focusing her career as on attorney on helping seniors and their families. In 2015, she co-founded Margolis Weldon, LLC, a law firm focused on estate planning and elder law. Join us as we explore the ethical considerations an agent should examine when acting under a power of attorney under Illinois state law. Lauren will discuss when an agent can act on behalf of a principal, and the scope of the agent’s powers under both the health care and property powers of attorney.
Dinner will be prepared by Toscana’s Chef.
