Learn What We’re Doing to Stay Safe

At Belmont Village the health and safety of our residents and our team members are always our top priorities. From the start of the COVID-19 pandemic, we have worked with leading University experts in epidemiology and infectious disease management, and we’ve closely followed the guidelines of the CDC and state and local health officials. Through our policies, the tremendous efforts of our teams, the cooperation of our residents and the support of our families, we are making every effort to limit exposure to the virus and protect the health of our communities.

Below are some of the steps we’ve taken to prevent and protect, along with some of the creative efforts our teams are making to keep our residents connected and engaged mentally, physically and spiritually, which we understand is so important to overall health and wellbeing.


  • Limiting community entry to essential visitors only (those necessary for resident care and community operations)
  • Daily health screenings and temperature checks for employees and essential visitors upon entry, and wellness and temperature checks for our residents every day
  • No in-house social visits, public events or outings – we are sheltering-in-place
  • Modified dining and bistro services that follow social distancing requirements. Contact your Belmont Village community for specific food service information.
  • Social distancing or 1:1 formats for all resident activities
  • Cleaning and sanitizing that follows our expanded plans at each community, using CDC recommended products and procedures
  • Employees are universally masked in our communities
  • Masks are provided for resident use when leaving their apartments

This is an overview of care measures currently in place at all Belmont Village communities. As guidance and recommendations from the CDC, local, state and national authorities evolves, we continue to respond to those changes through purposeful planning with experts to maintain a safe care environment.

Below are examples of some of the actions, ideas and engagements that have taken hold at Belmont Village communities across the country to help our residents stay connected and active.


  • Extra tablets have been shipped to our communities to facilitate Skype and FaceTime connections between our residents and their loved ones
  • Project Smile, a program that encourages area kids to create cards and mail them to our residents
  • Belmont Greetings emails create an opportunity for families to send notes to a loved one who doesn’t otherwise have email – the messages are printed, delivered and, upon request, read to residents
  • Our Enrichment Leaders also create packets that include activities such as daily chronicle, puzzles, brain games, trivia, articles from the web pertaining to theme of the day and possibly an origami project or art piece to paint or color

This is a broad overview of just a few of the activities taking place in our communities across the country, to help our residents stay healthy and happy during this challenging time.
