Marion Bill Hall
Lieutenant Colonel, U.S. Air Force
1941-1961
“World War II was our duty. We didn’t start it, but we helped finish it for the world. I had many sad times, losing friends, but many wonderful memories meeting new ones. I joined the Army Air Corps at age 21 on March 17, 1941. I flew 72 combat missions in France and Italy, flying B25s and A20s. I test-piloted or flew every combat plane but the B24 and P40. After the war I flew the Berlin Air Lift and was one of the first to fly delegates to the UN meeting in Palestine. Then came Korea.”
