A local veteran is being recognized for his service by participating in Honor Flight South Florida, an all-expenses paid trip to Washington D.C. tomorrow. 91-year-old William Hauser, who lives at Belmont Village Senior Living in Ft. Lauderdale, is joining hundreds of other vets to remember friends lost and share their experiences. Hauser was a career Army officer from 1954-to-1979 with troops in Germany, Korea and Vietnam. Honor Flight South Florida is an all-volunteer organization dedicated to honoring vets in Broward, Miami-Dade and Monroe counties.
