Hi Cathy,

I am writing to you with regard to your employee, Leandra. Belmont Village came highly recommended to me by someone who is at the Burbank Artist Colony where my mother currently resides. Leandra called my home today and within a couple of hours, I found myself driving just a few miles away to come see Belmont Village.

I have been on the search for a possible new place for my mom. She is only 68 years old, but she has had a tough year and I have been told it may be best that we find her a place and she not live alone anymore. During this journey and research, looking for places and going to tours at quite a few different Assisted Living Homes, I have to say Belmont Village is really wonderful and special.

When I walked in this morning, I first observed the receptionist, who was really lovely. I asked her how her day was going. She had a huge smile on her face and said things were great. She said that she worked the phones on certain days and also worked in the kitchen. She said she loved to work the kitchen area because she made so many friends with people that live there. I found this to be so sweet and she was so sincere – she seems to really love her job.

I met with Leandra for a long time. We did the tour, looked at two or three models. She was fantastic. I really was impressed about how much she knows about elderly health care, and she advised me about things that I should know, as well as the services Belmont Village offers. I was really, really blown away by how much time she spent with my cousin Danyi and me. She did not have a “pushy sales person” attitude and she clearly takes her job very seriously. She is quite proud to be a part of the Belmont Village Family.

When I walked out of there, I told my cousin Danyi that out of all of the places I had seen, I was very impressed with Belmont Village. It was very clean, spotless and felt like a place my mom could actually call “home.” I hope to make a decision soon, once I sort out some of my mom’s affairs. If all works out, I hope to be back.

Please know that whatever you guys are doing over there, something is working, because that’s the place I’d like to be when I am older. Please tell Leandra that I cannot thank her enough for all of her help. She is a gem. UC Davis did her wonders!

Warmly,
Darby W.C.
