Austin’s Belmont Village Seniors Complete COVID-19 Vaccinations and Look Forward to Gift of Immunity

The Belmont Village Senior Living communities in Austin, including Belmont Village West Lake Hills and Belmont Village Lakeway, are proud to announce that they have completed their final vaccination clinics for residents and staff. Belmont Village has vaccinated virtually every resident and the vast majority of associates in Austin, including the immunization of a 101-year-old resident of Lakeway who survived COVID-19 and is looking forward to resuming pre-pandemic activities with family and friends.

“The pandemic has been a true testament to the resilience and strength of our residents and staff, and we couldn’t be more thrilled to begin turning the corner by providing our communities with the gift of immunity,” says Patricia Will, Founder and CEO of Belmont Village. “We are hopeful that our final vaccination clinics mark the beginning of the end of a very difficult 13-months for residents and staff, who will soon be able to reunite with loved ones, with many hugs and visits in the near future.”

Founded in 1997 by Patricia Will, Belmont Village Senior Living communities ensure the very best aging experience for its residents by promoting engagement with many programs that encourage mental stimulation, socialization, reduced stress, and a healthy lifestyle. Despite social distancing limitations during the pandemic, residents at Belmont Village continued to safely socialize within their communities with enrichment activities for physical and mental health. One of their most well-known, established, award-winning programs is the Circle of Friends, which addresses the needs and abilities of residents with Mild Cognitive Impairment (MCI) or mild to moderate memory loss. In conjunction with Belmont Village’s multi-faceted approach to Whole-Brain-Fitness, the Circle of Friends program enriches the lives of residents by allowing them to live in assisted living residences while participating in a structured day of activities designed to help maintain cognitive function.

In the coming weeks, Belmont Village will continue to maintain safe distancing and all COVID-19 protocols to ensure the safety and wellbeing of residents and staff, all the while keeping family members informed every step of the way.

“We wholeheartedly share in the excitement of our families, residents and staff as we embark on a new journey of COVID-19 immunization. It will certainly be a gamechanger in helping us continue our commitment to enrich the lives of all Belmont residents,” adds Will.
