As the big apple has one of their biggest weeks in fashion in the United States, New York Fashion Week, Belmont Village Senior Living Belmont Los Angeles residents are stepping into the limelight as they engage in an inter-community fashion competition; a tribute to creativity, style, sustainability, and unity. Each community has curated a fashion house, encompassing a name, logo, tagline and line of sustainable clothing as each piece embodies slow fashion, upcycling, thrifting, swapping, renting, sharing, and circular fashion. A gallery unveils the fashion houses’ journey, spotlighting ultimate designs for assessment by a judging panel, in a friendly competition between communities to inspire comradery, and awareness of how fashion can impact the environment.
