Centenarian - Felice Atencio

Felice Atencio

Belmont Village Burbank, Burbank, CA
Born July 28, 1913 in Dixon, NM

“My family hails from Great Britain (father) and Northern New Mexico (mother). So I am of English-Spanish-American Indian decent. I was a mother and homemaker who worked during WWII by making hand-painted ceramics. I am photographed with a Navajo baby blanket that was made to commemorate my birth 104-years ago. Navajo women would embroider the child’s maiden name on the blanket. My silver and turquoise ring was designed in the 1920s-1930s.”

Felice passed away peacefully on July 11, 2017 after living at Belmont Village for more than 14 years.
