Belmont Village Stories Artist Theobald

Yvonne Theobald

Fashion Model
Belmont Village Glenview – Chicago

Yvonne Theobald came to Chicago from Louisiana on a vacation as a teen and saw a fashion show at the Fair Store and thought, “I could do that!” And she did, becoming a runway model at the Patricia Stevens Modeling Agency in Chicago where she worked for clients such as Marshall Field’s and Carson’s department stores. “I always loved clothes,” she recalls. “When I was nine years old, I had the best-dressed dolls in the neighborhood.” That was the reason I modeled – to wear fabulous outfits.” Her sense of style continued, undaunted by age. In 1992 she was selected as Ms. Illinois Senior, ultimately placing 6th in the national pageant.
