We are happy to report that we have sustained no damage or flooding at either of our Houston communities from Hurricane Nicholas. Residents and staff remain safe and comfortable. Belmont Village West University lost city power around 4 AM, but is operating on generator power, with no interruption in care or services. Belmont Village Hunters Creek never lost power and remains fully operational. Both communities are fully staffed, with additional regional and corporate leadership support at West University. We will update again once power is restored at our West University community, or if there are any changes in operational status to report. For now, we ask that you limit calls to our West U community as much as possible to allow our team to focus on our residents.

We are closely monitoring the path of Tropical Storm Nicholas, which continues to move across the Gulf of Mexico. Our Houston communities have been taking steps to prepare and we have emergency plans in place should the storm affect our area. We will remain staffed and prepared to provide uninterrupted care over multiple days with additional stores of food, water and clinical supplies. Key areas in our community are supported by generator power and will remain operational in the event of a power outage. Our team is taking every step to ensure that our residents remain safe, comfortable and well-cared for. We ask that you limit calls to the community as much as possible to allow our teams to focus on our residents. Thank you for your support and please stay safe.
