Belmont Village Artist Stories Fisher

“I love to express myself through painting as it is both fulfilling and a great source of comfort. I was born in Pennsylvania, which is a state with much natural beauty, but didn’t know how to capture it on canvas. That was until I learned the wet-on-wet oil painting technique through art classes in a Bob Ross studio in Florida that was run by his brother. I have had a love and appreciation of art and would like to think that I have been a positive and imaginative influence on the artists in my family. At age ninety, I still feel a great sense of personal gratification when I paint and I love to use a variety of media. One must never tire of trying something new, for it is the accomplishment at the end of the day that keeps me young.”
