Music performance has been a central part of Tan Tan Sun’s life, beginning as a child attending theater and musical performances with her parents in her China homeland. During her amateur career, she has performed with the Chinese Opera in United States and ahs sung regularly at her local church. She now enjoys more time studying music following her retirement as a chemist at the University of Tennessee. Her most gratifying musical experience has been performing the annual Chinese New Year Program, which brings back fond memories of the familiar songs of her childhood.
